Zoom Account Recording Setup (Required for Video Return to Edge Portal)
To ensure seamless integration with StudioEdge, it is essential to enable Recording on your Zoom account and Auto-approve recordings. This step is critical to avoid delays when connecting your guests. If recording is not enabled, the StudioEdge Zoom client will prompt for permission to enable the recording feature, which can slow down production, and makes the process of introducing Zoom callers less seamless.
The Zoom client uses the recording function to access the raw video feed from the caller. This raw video is then transmitted via SDI or NDI. Please note that at no point is the Zoom video saved as a file.
