Introducing a Microsoft Teams Caller

Please note: Currently, StudioEdge™ only supports one-to-one Microsoft Teams calls and only corporate Teams links.

With StudioEdge you can very easily introduce high-quality Microsoft Teams callers into your productions.

Initiating a Microsoft Teams Call

The first thing you will need to do is log in to the StudioEdge portal (edge.quicklink.network) and connect to the StudioEdge device you wish to use. If you are unsure on how to do this, please refer to the Quick start guide to QuickLink Studio Edge article.

To add a Microsoft Teams caller, click the call button ( call.png ), then select Microsoft Teams from the available platforms.

Once you have assigned your channel to Microsoft Teams, you will be prompted to enter a Meeting Link.

If you haven't already created or scheduled a Microsoft Teams meeting, you can discover how to do this in the Creating/Scheduling a Microsoft Teams meeting for StudioEdge article.

Once you have created your meeting, there are two ways you can access the Meeting Link to enter it into StudioEdge.

From your separate control PC, within the Microsoft Teams application, access the Calendar, and locate the Teams Meeting for your remote caller. Right-click the Meeting, and click Copy meeting link. Your Meeting Link will follow the format of: https://teams.microsoft.com/l/meetup-join/MEETING.

Alternatively, you can also access the Meeting Link from the email invitation. Locate the email meeting invitation, open the email, right-click the Join the meeting now, then click Copy Hyperlink. Your Meeting Link will follow the same format of: https://teams.microsoft.com/l/meetup-join/MEETING.

Returning to the StudioEdge user interface, paste your copied link into the Meeting Link and click CONNECT.

Depending on your Microsoft Teams account settings, you may have to approve the StudioEdge device to enter the meeting. Within the Zoom Meeting, navigate to People, in the Waiting lobby, click Approve ( TeamsApprove.png ) for the Unknown user (Unverified) user.

Once your StudioEdge has connected to the meeting, returning to the StudioEdge interface, you will see your guests video and audio in the preview window.

You have now successfully introduced a Microsoft Teams caller into your StudioEdge workflow. From here you can apply AI-powered Features to further enhance the video and audio quality.

If you wish to add another Microsoft Teams caller, from another StudioEdge channel, click the call button ( call.png ), then select Microsoft Teams, repeating the steps above.
