Introducing a StudioCall Caller

QuickLink's StudioEdge natively supports the integration of StudioCall callers, enabling you to very easily integrate StudioCall callers into your productions. For more information on StudioCall, please click here

NOTE: When incorporating a StudioCall caller into StudioEdge, the QuickLink Manager should be opened on a separate control machine. Please avoid using the StudioEdge device for this.

The first thing you will need to do is log in to the StudioEdge portal and connect to the StudioEdge device you wish to use. If you are unsure on how to do this, please refer to the Quick start guide to QuickLink Studio Edge article.

Configuring a channel

Before initiating a StudioCall call, you will first need to configure the inputs and outputs of the channel you wish to use. If you have already configured your channel, please skip to the Initiating a StudioCall Call section.

To set the inputs you wish to return to your StudioCall caller, select the SETTINGS tab.

StudioEdge will automatically connect to the StudioManager portal that is associated with the credentials you used to log-in. However, you will still need to invite your guest in the usual fashion. For more information on inviting callers using StudioCall, please refer to the article, here.

Once your StudioEdge channel has connected to your guest, you will see their video and audio within the preview window.
