Using StudioEdge you can very easily introduce Microsoft Teams callers into your productions.
NOTE: When incorporating a Microsoft Teams caller into StudioEdge, the Teams meeting should be hosted and created on a separate control machine. Please avoid using the StudioEdge device for this.
The first thing you will need to do is log in to the StudioEdge portal and connect to the StudioEdge device you wish to use. If you are unsure on how to do this, please refer to the Quick start guide to QuickLink Studio Edge article.
Configuring a channel
Before initiating a Microsoft Team call, you will first need to configure the inputs and outputs of the channel you wish to use. If you have already configured your channel, please skip to the Initiating a Microsoft Teams Call section.
To set the inputs you wish to return to your Teams caller, select the SETTINGS tab.
In the Video Input dropdown menu, select a the SDI input you would like to use (1 to 4, or NDI) depending on your workflow. Once selected, your video return will appear in the bottom return preview window.
Next you will need to select your Audio Input.
Your SDI and audio outputs are pre-configured depending on the channel you are using. These are displayed in the Video Output and Audio Output boxes.
In addition to the SDI outputs, you can also configure to simultaneously output to NDI, to achieve this, simply toggle the NDI Output option.
Initiating a Microsoft Teams Call
To add a Teams caller, click the call button ( ), then select Microsoft Teams.
From your separate control PC, within the Microsoft Teams meeting, copy the Meeting Link. This can be found by clicking People from the control bar, then clicking Share invite, and finally selecting Copy meeting link. Your Meeting Link will follow the format of; https://teams.microsoft.com/l/meetup-join/MEETING.
To find your meeting link in a call click People and then copy from the Participants tab.

Within the StudioEdge user interface, enter the Meeting Link and click CONNECT.
Once your StudioEdge channel has connected to your guest, you will see their video and audio in the preview window. Bear in mind, depending on your meeting settings, you may need to allow your StudioEdge channel into your Teams meeting as a guest.
You have now successfully introduced a Microsoft Teams caller into your StudioEdge workflow.
Repeat this process for as many Microsoft Teams, or other video conferencing callers you require.
