QuickLink StudioRemote™ Hardware Maintenance Guidelines

To ensure the reliability and optimal performance of your StudioRemote™ hardware, the following maintenance practices are recommended:
 

  1. System Restart
    • Restart units periodically to refresh and maintain performance.
  2. Software and Firmware Updates
    • Install all official QuickLink updates as they become available.
    • Updates must only be applied from official QuickLink sources.
  3. Third-Party Software
    • Installation of third-party applications is not supported. If installed, this is done entirely at the operator’s own risk.
  4. Antivirus
    • Antivirus software may be installed at the operator’s discretion. Compatibility and performance cannot be guaranteed.
  5. Hardware Lifecycle
    • Hardware exceeding five (5) years of service should be evaluated for replacement.
  6. Physical Environment
    • Ensure proper ventilation and airflow.
    • Keep vents and fans free of dust.
    • Operate equipment in a clean, temperature-controlled environment.
  7. Power and Cabling
    • Inspect power supplies and cabling regularly for signs of wear or damage.
    • Use only approved power sources and accessories.
  8. Security
    • Use strong, unique passwords for all administrative access.
    • Restrict system access to authorized personnel only.
    • Keep operating system and drivers updated.
  9. Monitoring and Logging
    • Review system logs for errors or irregularities.
    • Monitor system performance and operating temperatures where supported.
