Mapping and recording to a network Drive

There are two ways for mapping network drives:

  1. Mapping Network Drives for StudioPro
  2. Mapping Network Drives for Users

Mapping Network Drives for StudioPro

StudioPro runs with elevated privileges, meaning it operates as an administrator. As a result, StudioPro will only recognize network drives mapped under administrator privileges after you enable LinkedConnections.

To enable the policy:

In Registry Editor, locate and then click the following registry subkey:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System

Once in the folder click Edit, select New, and then select DWORD (32-bit) Value.

Name the new registry entry as EnableLinkedConnections

Double-click the EnableLinkedConnections registry entry.

In the Edit DWORD Value dialog box, type 1 in the Value data field, and then select OK.

Exit Registry Editor, and then restart the computer.

Once executed successfully, any network drive you mount will now be available to StudioPro. The mapped drive will now be able to be selected within StudioPro.
