Overview

The StudioPro™ Proton is a professional-grade control surface designed for seamless integration with QuickLink StudioPro™, which features additional integration with Bitfocus Companion. It provides fast and intuitive video switching, transition control, tally output, and audio mixing with customizable functionality.

Hardware Setup

Power & Network

  • Connect DC 12V power or use POE via RJ45 (supports IEEE 802.3af)
  • Connect to the same LAN as your QuickLink StudioPro host system

Tally Output

  • Wired: DB25 port (supports up to 12 PGM + 12 PVW signals)

USB Port

  • USB-A: For firmware upgrades
  • USB-B: Reserved

Functions and partitions:

Control Panel Function Zones Overview

 

Red Zone —  The source area of the PGM and PVW channels

  • Up to 20 signal sources can be switched through the "SHIFT" button combination, and the signal source can be customized;
  • The upper display screen displays the signal source information of the corresponding button;

Orange Zone Switcher ribbon

  • The buttons can be customized with the functions of "switcher function", "auxiliary source" and "auxiliary output source", and can be used by switching up to 14 custom buttons through the "SHIFT" button combination;

  • The lower display screen displays the signal source information of the corresponding button;

Dark Blue Zone Audio adjustment knob area

  • Up to 2 channels of audio can be switched and the knob can be customized;
  • The lower display screen displays the signal source information of the corresponding button; to change click and rotate until the audio source is visible. Then click again to select the audio source to adjust levels

Green Zone Transition effect button area

Purple Zone Audio Control/Control panel Menu Control Area

  • "MENU" button: click to open\close the menu;
  • "Master" knob: When the control panel menu is not opened, the knob function is to adjust the "Master Volume"; When opening the control panel menu, the knob function is the control menu.

Yellow Zone Transition Switch Zone

Brown Zone The "MACRO" buttons

  • When clicked, the Switcher runs the corresponding macro

Light Pink Zone Media Player

  • Media Player buttons allow you to control playback of video files in the scene. There is also a loop button to loop your media players.

Cyan Zone Downstream key area

  • Downstream key buttons allow you to quickly turn on and off 4 of your downstream graphics.

Light Blue Zone FTB Fade to Black

  • FTB will allow you to turn off both video and audio for the program out.

Pink Zone SHIFT key area

  • When you click the button, the "PGM and PVW channel source area" and "switcher function area" will temporarily turn the page, and return to the home page when the button is released.
  • When you double-click the button, the "PGM and PVW channel source area" and "switcher function area" will be fixed and turn the page, and click the button again to return to the home page.

Button Layout

  • PGM/PVW Channels: 20 inputs via SHIFT mode (10 PGM + 10 PVW per page)
  • Switch Ribbon: Supports up to 14 user-defined sources/functions
  • Audio Knobs: 4 channels adjustable via screen feedback
  • T-Bar: High-quality fader with LED progress bar
  • Function Buttons:
    • FTB, CUT, AUTO: Transition triggers
    • MACRO, PREV TRANS, SHIFT: Advanced operations

 

Troubleshooting

Issue Solution
Cannot access Web UI Ensure PC is in the same subnet as control panel
No Tally Output Check DB25 wiring or wireless module pairing
Buttons not responsive Verify firmware and check Companion mapping
Companion not connecting Confirm IP settings match and protocol is selected
