Configuring the QuickLink StudioPro™ IP Panel

Before using the StudioPro IP Panel, you will first need to configure it within StudioPro.

To do this, open to the StudioPro settings by selecting the settings-icon.png icon.

Then navigate to the Advanced tab.

Under Remote Control, enter a secure password that will be used to connect to the IP Panel remotely and check the Enable Authentication checkbox. Take note of the port used (defaulted to 4444) as this will be needed in the login process. Click Apply then OK to save authentication changes.

Next, navigate to the QuickLink StudioPro IP Panel. In Server, enter your local IP or domain name for StudioPro, followed by the port (e.g 192.158.1.38:4444). Enter your password which has been configured in authentication, then click Connect.

If the connection was established, you will be redirected to the IP Panel interface.

If you are not connecting locally and/or are having trouble connecting please see below for possible reasons/solutions;

  • When running locally you should use https://switcher.quicklink.network/   
  • When connecting remotely you should use http://switcher.quicklink.network/
  • Make sure the selected port is definitely open on your network
  • Windows Firewall can block the remote connection so you may need to add a rule to allow the connection

To add a Windows Firewall rule follow these steps...

Create a new inbound rule by selecting Inbound Rules in the top left and click New Rule over near the top right.

In Rule Type, select Port then click Next...

In Protocol and Ports select TCP and specify the port you would like to use.

For Action, select Allow the connection.

Select each tick box for the Profile tab.

And finally give your rule a name so that you can easily identify it. Click Finish when you are done.
