Introduce QuickLink StudioCall callers

For instructions on inviting guests, managing settings and using the QuickLink StudioPro, please refer to the QuickLink StudioManager section.

StudioPro is linked to an individual QuickLink StudioManager account. This account will have its preconfigured Waiting and Conference rooms. To associate both QuickLink StudioPro and QuickLink StudioManager, you will need to make sure you are using a common username and password.

Once you have invited your guests and dropped them into the seats you want in your conference room, you are ready to bring them into QuickLink StudioPro.

Once the initial configuration has been completed, you are now ready to add your QuickLink StudioCall callers into your scenes. Within the Scene you would like to add your QuickLink StudioCall caller, select the plus.png icon, locate StudioCall from the sources, then click Add Source.

Once added your QuickLink StudioCall caller source will appear. If no user populates the seat, a holding image will appear until a caller is moved into the seat.

To add further QuickLink StudioCall callers to a scene, or to add the same caller to multiple scenes, please repeat the steps above of adding QuickLink StudioCall sources.

Returning a Program Return to callers

StudioPro allows you to return a Program Return feed to your guests. Below this is detailed for a Pro Room and Conference Room.

Returning a Program Return in a Pro Room

In an empty scene, add another StudioCall Source but make sure to select create new (You could name this Program). Then press OK.

You will then be presented with a new window with Room/Position and Guest Return settings. Here you can select the Room and position that you would like the Program Return to go to. You can also leave these settings set to “None” to simply create a virtual server to connect with Guests and choose the position manually. Select the video you would like to return back into the conference call, this can be either the Program Output, or a specific scene depending on your workflow.

Do the same for your Audio Source.

Head back over to the Quicklink Manager and you will now see the Virtual Server either on the left-hand side of the page or within the position you selected.

You can then place your guest in the other available position to initiate the call. You will receive the guests return back into StudioPro.

Returning a Program Return in a Conference Room

Firstly, follow the same process as above to get your Guests Return into StudioPro.

In an empty scene, add another StudioCall Source but make sure to select create new (You could name this Program). Then press OK.

Under the Return Feed > Settings cog section, you can select the video you would like to return back into the conference call using the VCAMs, this can be either the Program Output, or a specific scene depending on your workflow. The audio option will allow you to return the program audio, or select a Aux audio which you can configure to create a mix-minus. Instructions on creating Aux audio and mix-minus can be found here. Clicking OK will save your setting changes.

Once you click OK, head back over to the QuickLink StudioManager and you will see the virtual server (Program) in the designated position that you chose.
