This article will detail how to create or schedule a Zoom meeting with the correct configuration for StudioEdge to operate, and will include a useful tip to quickly schedule meetings directly from the StudioEdge user interface.
Prerequisites
Before introducing Zoom callers, you will need to apply a setting within your Zoom account settings that enables StudioEdge to connect to Zoom meetings successfully. To achieve this follow this article here.
Creating/Scheduling a meeting
To create a Zoom meeting, you need to first make sure you have Zoom installed and have a Zoom user account that is within the same organization as the Zoom account logged into your StudioEdge. Please note, it is highly recommended that the Zoom meeting should be hosted and created on a separate control machine, and not on the StudioEdge hardware itself.
There are two ways to create/schedule, which are as follows:
- Creating/Scheduling a Zoom Meeting from the StudioEdge interface
- Creating/Scheduling a Zoom Meeting from the Zoom application
Creating/Scheduling a Zoom Meeting from the StudioEdge interface
Within the StudioEdge web interface, there is useful icon to quickly Schedule a Zoom meeting. In the top ribbon, click the calendar ( ) icon, then click Schedule Zoom Meeting.
This will open a new tab where, if you haven't already, will need to sign in to your Zoom account in order to set up the meeting.
Once logged in, navigate to the Meetings on the left-hand pane.
Then, select Schedule a Meeting.
From here, you can configure the meeting details, such as the meeting name, date and time, attendees, and other settings.
It is recommended to enable the Allow participants to join anytime option. You can find option by scrolling to the bottom of the Meeting, locate Options then click Show.
Once you are satisfied with the meeting setup, click Save to create the meeting and send the invitation to your guests.
You are now ready to add your Zoom meeting into the StudioEdge interface, please refer to the Introducing a Zoom Caller article.
Creating/Scheduling a Zoom Meeting from the Zoom application
Open your Zoom application. To schedule a meeting, click Schedule.
Enter a Meeting information, set the date & time, and invite your attendees.
Scroll down, and expand the Advanced section.
Within the Alternative Hosts option, enter the email address of the Zoom user signed into StudioEdge. Once completed, click Save.
Your scheduled meeting will now appear on your Zoom calendar. If you wish to launch your meeting, simply click Start.
