With StudioPro it is possible to introduce Facebook Messenger callers into your productions. To achieve this you can either use Facebook web or the desktop application. Facebook messenger called are added using the Display Capture or Window Capture sources.
Firstly sign into your Facebook account and then head over to Messenger. To start a call click on the camera icon in the top left hand corner of the page.
This will open a new window to initiate a call. Allow your microphone and camera when prompted. If you miss this or you're not prompted to, click on the camera icon in the top right hand corner of the page and then click manage, then select the mic and camera you wish to use for the call. This can be used to create a program return, for more information on this, please refer to the Virtual Camera and cables article.
Now you're ready to start inviting people to the call. You can achieve this in two ways, by searching your friends on Facebook by typing their names in the search box or by copying a distributable invite link.
With the call running, you're now ready to head over to StudioPro. Select the scene you wish to add the Facebook Messenger call to and then click the plus icon to add a source.
From the Add Source window select either Window Capture or Display Capture, then click Add Source.
Then give your source a friendly name.
Select the window you wish to capture. In this case, the Facebook Messenger room. Please note: If you select the window and you don't see anything, chances are you'll need to turn Hardware Acceleration off in Google Chrome. This can be done by going to Settings, searching for Hardware Acceleration and turning it off. Click OK to add your source.
You will now have an active room from Facebook Messenger available to use in your production.
