Adding NewBlue Captivate graphics into scenes

With NewBlue Captivate, incorporated within StudioPro, you can very easily create on-brand productions utilizing NewBlue Captivate's on-air graphics and titling. For more information on NewBlue Captivate, click here.

In this article we will cover how to integrate NewBlue Captivate on-air graphics, title and animations into your StudioPro productions.

From the StudioPro desktop, launch the NewBlue Captivate software. On first use, you will need to enter your license key/login, provided by your QuickLink Sales Representative.

Next, you will need to add a new channel, Click Add Channel from the Project window.

Click Add new item button to add graphics or inputs of your own.Add new item.png

Alternatively, you can choose overlays from the Graphics Library.

Select the graphic you would like use and drag and drop it onto your new channel.

Preview your graphic by selecting the channel in the Program Monitor and clicking Play.

When you are ready, you will need to set up your application output so that you can incorporate your NewBlue Captivate graphics in your QuickLink StudioPro productions. Click Program Out.

Select NDI.

Returning to QuickLink StudioPro, select the scene you wish to incorporate NewBlue Captivate graphics, then click the plus.png icon to Add a Source.

From the Sources option, select NDI Source, then click Add Source.

Give your source a friendly name (i.e. NewBlue Captivate / NewBlue FX).

Next, select the NDI source from the list, in this case Channel 5. Click OK.

Your NewBlue Captivate graphics will now appear within your StudioPro scene. If you are using multiple channels, you can repeat these step for as many channels as you need for your production, allowing you to add in multiple different types of graphics via NewBlue's Captivate.
