Adding a Virtual Background

To enhance professionalism, privacy, brand alignment, or reduce distractions, StudioEdge™ includes a Virtual Background feature powered by NVIDIA. It lets you set an image or video as the caller background from the StudioEdge interface, no special equipment or lighting required on the remote side.

To add a Virtual Background, you will first need to upload your Image or Video files to your StudioEdge device. You can customize this location, from the settings within the StudioEdge interface. To achieve this, select SETTINGS in the top-right corner.

Ensure the GENERAL tab is selected. Within the Virtual Background Video Path and Virtual Background Image Path, you can view the currently selected file paths, if this has never been changed, it will be defaulted to C:/Users/QTX-XXXX/Videos & C:/Users/QTX-XXXX/Pictures. Here you can choose a custom directory to upload your files. Click SAVE if any changes are made.

Next, you will need to upload your image/video file to the path configured in your StudioEdge settings. Access the file location, and upload your images.

PLEASE NOTE: Your background file size should match your StudioEdge Video Format. For example, if your Video Format is 1080i59.94, your background image should be 1920x1080px. For a list of supported file types please see the bottom of the article.

In the popup window, select the image/video you wish to use as a virtual background behind your caller, then click SAVE. If your uploaded images are not appear, click the Refresh icon to refresh the list of files.
